Location and accommodation are fantastic. The apartment we were staying at must have one of the best double aspect views in Big White. Unfortunately the management company has a lot of catching up to do. For instance their emergency number is only active during working hours - not good when you have people arriving at all hours of the day.
Fantastic location & well appointed suites! True ski in/out + close to the central village with great views of the ski hill or mountain valley, depending upon your preference. Highly recommend!
Condos close to village with underground parking and some units have own hot tub. Service of a 3 star because the outdoor hot tubs were shutdown April 1 even though skiing lasts a few more weeks. Why not keep open? Pool table and a kids games room were still available. Parkade has benches and ski racks adjacent to exterior door which takes you on a run to Ridge Rocket/Snow Ghost.
Great setup and close access to everything. The people that cleaned the room were great. Only issue I had was coke vending machine didn't give me my change
Poor directions, signage and on site help. Our group of 4 arrived late on a week night, the directions to find the place, find the parking, and figure out the locked doors everywhere were a challenge. We called the "front desk" for help only to realize they were not on site and not familiar with the buildings or roads. Once settled, the rooms were clean and cozy. Could use more towels. Hottub on the deck was nice and overall location for skiing was great. Would stay again now that we know the location.
We had a group of 8 people and spent 4 days snowboarding. I am a huge fan of big white and 100% recommend the mountain. The resort on the other hand has just a few things wrong with it. Issues with our gear locker, issues with out hot tub and issues with our fire place. Other then that there was lots of room, new, clean and great location. Best place to stay at on the mountain for a larger group.
Fantastic mountain with great variety and tons of snow! I enjoyed the glade skiing too. Stonegate is well located (no car required once you arrive), spacious, family friendly and high end. The only challenge with Big White is the occasional "frozen fog" white out. Otherwise, it's a solid 5 star. Also, while great for families, there is not much of a night life.
The condo was great but the hottub had recurring heating problems. We only had full functionality of the hottub for the third and final night of our stay. The shared pool and amenities are only open for a few hours and close at 7pm. A bit limiting. Location is great, ski in/out.
